The question about pill mills is a red herring. The legislature voted down the legislation that would have dealt with pill mills. This is a big business in Florida and can be easily regulated as other states in the South have done. Which in part accounts for the huge traffic into Florida to get legal prescription pills.
The question pending is why do we as a citizenry need so many pills in the first place. Then the question is how can other states regulate the industry and Florida can not.
