Florida appeals judge’s decision to block prison privatization plan

This is just another chapter in the prison privatization issue. However, with each step taken a little more information falls out. At no point in any of the equations is the point of improving a system to protect the public and reduce recidivism in the long.

The entire issues rotates around saving money or jobs depending on which side of the equation you are standing. Don’t know about the jobs because no matter who has the contract the job situation does not change. However, there is pay and benifit diferential between private and state prisons.
