200 tons of unused prescription drugs is an awful big waste of money. I can not even imagen what 200 tons of pills would look like. Would love to have a breakdown of what they were. Nearly 200 tons of prescription drugs turned in
I remember the years that I was a hospice volunteer, when a client died, a nurse or social worker from hospice and I would inventory and flush all unused medications. It may not sound like much but think in terms of millions of people that die each year and how many pain killers and psychotropic drugs are floating in assorted sewer systems and etc. It seems as if there were always a considerable amount of drugs flushed at each death.
