The addictions in the “House of Usher” are big. You only have to look to some of the cash hauls to get a window on the scope of the problem.

The article highlights the amount of money confiscated by the Mexican authorities over the past couple of years.

What does not get a lot of press is that many of the soldiers trained under or by the US in these types of operations go over to the cartels as cartel soldiers once they finish their training or enlistments. This is not unlike what happened to troops trained by US forces in Central America after the revolutions in the 80s.
