Florida Lawmakers Advance Brain Injury, Wrongly Imprisoned Claims Bills

It seems like a no-brainer that when you send a person to prison for a crime they never committed that compensation needs to paid prompt and up front without having to engage a lawyer to lobby for legislative action.

Then again, it is our legislative representative who was a sheriff prior to entering the legislature voted against the claim. We will just have to wait and see what is the next shoe to drop.

It would be a wonderful project for a graduate student to track all the wrongful sentencing that has been exposed to county and also tag the state attorney responsible for the prosecution.
