You can argue the this and that of the evidence room. We know that money was stolen out of it and it was only found out because the Chief of Police for a small town in the county of Alachua discovered it.
However, it was alluded to that dates were changed on some of the evidence packages or what not. In today’s paper (Published: Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 8:01 p.m.) it was noted that ‘….The investigation found there had been a number of breaches of policy in handling evidence, including changing the dates on when items were checked in to mislead defense attorneys and leaving the door to the evidence room open when no one was inside…..’
We are now talking about some very serious charges that involved the State Attorney’s office. Don’t know how many people I have known in prison that have charges of tampering with the evidence as a main charge.
It will be interesting to see if this investigation goes any further.
