What happens when the looter is the government?

Don’t think I have ever seen a better written article that appeared in the Gainesville Sun today as written by George Will on the subject of Civil Forfieture. It is indeed a hotly contested subject whose sides are clearly drawn. I think the worst part of the entire subject is that it gives the criminal justice community a revenue stream that is independent of the civil government for which it must answer to.

Can not say too much for the article other than encourage everyone to read it and come to their own conclusions. Know full well that this is an industry that adds up to billions of dollars a year.
