Think in terms of being locked up in your bathroom for 20 years. Now think in terms of one out of nine men and women on death row are exonerated of their crimes that landed them on death row.

One Florida inmate on Death Row died of stomach cancer while on death row and was proven innocent after his death. He had spent nine years on death as an innocent man.

The legislature and criminal justice community would tell us this is a regrettable but unavoidable situation that exists in a modern society.
