Protecting foster children

Florida has traditionally been and is still at the bottom of the list of states taking care of kids at risk. In theory the state sets a 24 hour rapid response time for claims of abuse or neglect but over 22,000 were not seen within the designated period.

Then there is the fact 4 out of 10 children are out of home care for over a year. You could almost say this is business as usual. The crime is that kids come into this world trusting and ready to learn. However, in Florida they become incarceration fodder for the political process. Protecting foster children
