The story is sad on a couple of counts. First and foremost is why did it take a Spanish language TV service to uncover the full extent of the horror. There are more than a few top flight English news services with Spanish reporters that could have filed such a story. Out of that fact is the point it was not in their best interest to do so and then what follows is why.
The second point is why the internal checks and balances of our government fail. It could only be pointed out that it was not in the administrations best interest to let the full scope of the failure out and especially so at a time so close to elections. After all, this is a power game and the game is to keep the power.
There is a third point and that is the man that can link Fast and Furious to the White House has been sent to Iraq and my guess is that he will die there.
The story is sad and the worst part is that so many innocent people have died that might not have died otherwise. Yet, no one will serve one day in prison for this crime against humanity.
