Lawmakers pad personal committees with $20 million in special interest cash

These are the men and women that are sending other men and women to fill the jails and prisons of the state for doing on a lessor scale what they are doing on a grand scale. The only difference is that our legislatures are writing the laws and in the process exempting themselves from the consequences of what they do.

This $20 million on represents the take for one year. This is a $20 million investment that business and special interests groups will recoup in laws that favor their stance and profit base otherwise they would not make the investment. In the end, it is the public that losses through higher taxes, costs in the market place, and limited goods and services.
