Drug Shortages Persist in U.S., Harming Care

Strange how the drug shortages work out. It is the profit motive to the last breath. Those that are easy to manufacture and have a high demand are readily plentiful. Oxycotin, Gabapentin, Haldol, Viagra, Adderal, Aspirin, etc. there is no shortage of in both the legal and illegal market place.

I am sure there could or should be all kinds of questions asked by those that set the politics of the nation but then they are not asked and you only need to check the lobbyist groups and campaign donations to understand why.

So, when someone dies because of a shortage no one goes to prison but when someone dies because of violence then there is a law enforcement community awaiting with open arms. Tee shirts are fair game and suits are a shield from being held accountable.

This link is a good summary of the mess to include the consequences in such places as emergency care in ambulances.
