Pam Bondi raised nearly $140K on day of postponed execution

bondiAttorney General Pam Bondi recorded $139,076 in contributions at her Tampa campaign kickoff Sept. 10, the event that prompted her to ask Gov. Rick Scott for a delay in the Death Row execution of Marshall Lee Gore. On Sept. 11, the day after the fundraiser, Bondi also claimed another $26,600 in contributions, as well as $3,000 in-kind donations from the Republican Party of Florida for “consulting.” Bondi, who is currently running unchallenged, has apologized several times for asking Scott to reschedule Gore’s execution from Sept. 10 to Oct. 1, the day Florida executed the convicted murderer. “And Justice for All” is the political committee registered on Aug. 6 for Bondi to conduct campaign communication. The committee listed $55,764 in contributions dated Sept. 10. That figure includes $764 for food and beverages received from the Columbia restaurant in Tampa. So far, Bondi’s re-election campaign received $404,910 in cash donations in the third quarter of the year, with another $219,787 of in-kind donations. Her overall total stands at $809,500. Although the contributions say Sept. 10, state records do not indicate if the money was actually received at the event. Pam Bondi raised nearly $140K on day of postponed execution
